My name is Sabry Wahba. I studied Egyptology at Cairo University from 1979 to 1983. Afterward, I traveled to Austria and worked for an advertising company for five years.
In 1989, I returned to Egypt and was appointed an Egyptologist by the state under the direction of Dr. Zahi Hawass. Under Dr. Hawass’s supervision, I participated in excavations.
After four years, I decided to try something else that matched my ambitions, as I didn’t want to adapt to the dreary everyday life.
From 1993 to 2003, I worked for an Egyptian tour operator as a tour organizer and tour guide for German-speaking groups and was able to learn a lot through my work, from preparing tourist programs to booking all necessary services.
During these years, I traveled to Germany to attend the I.T.B. trade fair, a great opportunity to learn about new ideas on tourism.
After receiving a license from the Ministry of Tourism in 2003, I work as a freelance tour guide.
I have worked with many German, Swiss, and Austrian companies. I have visited Germany, Switzerland, and Austria several times.
